  According to many sites on the internet, the current title of the most expensive car is held by the Bugatti Veyron 6.4 (We use most sites because there is an expensiver car but only one(not owned) so the Buggati actually wins)    

Apart from holding the most expensive title, the Bugatti Veyron is also the most powerful, and fastest street-legal production car in the world.

HistoryThe car is built by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS, and it is sold under the legendary Bugatti marque.

It is named for famed Bugatti racing driver Pierre Veyron.
